I have a EU passport (Spain) and I am in fact moving from that country to CH. I've already been to my local gov. office (Allschwil, Basel Land) and registered there. I will be getting an L Permit, but I'm completely in the dark as to what this really means. I understand it's a short term permit and I assume that it is standard for situations like mine. I suggest you divide your post up mentally, search the relevant Forum in each case and see what you can find. I'm pretty sure that some of the answers are already there. If you REALLY can't find an answer or find conflicting results, then write your request again in the correct Forum where the folk who might be in the know are more likely to see it. If there is already a Thread with questions very similar to yours, add your request to that one. Otherwise, start a new one there. Longbyt, I did search the individual subjects on the forum prior to posting... and through that hunting process found lots of good info. It's just that everyones story is different, and I ended up confused as to what applies to me and what does not. I though about posting in sections, and it's probably the best option... I will try that.
